I can't seem to pick it, says i don't have any spells in the spellbook during character creation. Even if i pick the spells and go back to feats same deal.

There's a bunch of conflicting info everywhere on this, like a thread here https://www.reddit.com/r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker/comments/18e2wmo/spell_specialization_bugged/ where the top comment 2 years ago confirms it's bugged. On the other hand i've found other comments saying it works (if you check CRPGBRO's video on winter witch build for example he picks spell spec at level 1).

I am not running any mods. Is this a case that varies depending on some popular mod? Any conclusive answer to whether you can make it work somehow? Much appreciated!
