Sleep mask and accommodation
This post will be part hyperopia-hack (?) and part question.
I’ve been struggling a lot with accommodative spasm lately, and today my eyes were particularly sensitive due to general exhaustion. When I lay down in bed, I took off my glasses and covered my eyes with whatever was handy.
After about 30 minutes in the dark and feeling that gentle warmth, my eyes felt much more relaxed than they usually do when I wake up after a typical night’s sleep. At that moment, I remembered reading somewhere that placing warm compresses over your eyes helps relax the ciliary muscles. That’s why I was considering buying a sleep mask.
Do you guys do this too? Have you tried the 3D ones or the flat ones? Any recommendations?
