Huge thanks to everyone who told me not to cash out my Capital One points and instead transfer to airline miles for our Japan trip.
After a bit of research, I transferred my C1 points to Cathay Pacific miles and was able to book 2 round-trip tickets for my wife and me—flying direct on American Airlines.
📍 Dallas → Tokyo → Dallas
🗓️ 11/25 – 12/4
💳 160,000 points + $105 in taxes
That same itinerary would’ve cost about $3,200 booking directly through AA 🤯
Points game = worth it.
