Help please!
We rescued this kitten two days ago from the streets,
and the next day we noticed how he is breathing heavily. He uses his rib cage to breath, mouth is little open.
Inside the mouth the color is pink, not blue.
He is eating and prefers to snuggle most of the time instead of playing.
Google says it can be fluid in its lungs,
I took him to the ER and they said it can cost up to 4k to treat him, so they only gave me a possible diagnosis (pulmonary infection) that can be treated with amoxicillin twice a day.
We started to give him the amoxicillin twice a day with food yesterday.
What are the chances of this being fluid in the lungs ?
The insurance I got doesn’t get active until May 16 but I’m afraid the poor kitty won’t make it until then!
What can I do?
I’d be really heart broken if this little guys passes.
