Hi! Thinking of transferring schools. One thing that gets me super nervous is references. I understand that they will eventually call my principal, but before that do they ask for references at all?

Should I start asking around my school to see who would be a reference? Do I put references in my resume or cover letter? Sorry for all the questions.

If you want to transfer schools and hiring fairs do not specify it’s for new teachers only, can you still attend? For some reason I though it’s only for new teachers.

Also, many google doc forms to register for these fairs allow you to upload resumes. I’m extremely paranoid- would they contact my current school at all at this stage?
