For context, I chose the mix of hypertrophy and strength. Every exercise for every week has me doing only 2 sets with rep ranges varying from 8-10 to 12-14. Not a criticism, but I’ve just never done a plan that had exclusively 2 sets for every exercise regardless of reps.
For instance, the bench press is always 2 sets of 8-10 reps. I know i can always manually add sets, but I usually try to trust the process of the program and feel things out prior to adjusting. But in this case I just always have a lot left in the tank after every exercise I do so I’ll definitely be adding sets. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there a reason or is Smart Generation still a work in progress?
