In college I enrolled in Air Force ROTC but decided to leave the program after about a week. However, I'm not sure if I will reapply to the Air Force later in life. When I enrolled in ROTC I signed form 2030 where I admitted to past marijuana use and agreed to not do it again. However I understood this with the context of being a member of the Air Force. If I were to use marijuana again in a legal state would that still make me ineligible for the Air Force if I were to decide on that path in the future?
From Form 2030: >Service in the United States Air Force places me in a position of special trust and responsibility. Drug or alcohol abuse after this date will be considered evidence of my inability to meet the standards of behavior expected of me as a member of the Air Force. Therefore, any drug use (including marijuana) or any alcohol abuse as described >above, FROM THIS DATE FORWARD, renders me ineligible for the Air Force.
