hi! (19f here) I've been longing to go on my first solo trip for the longest time now and I have a long summer break now so I really wanted to plan my trip out. It's mostly for a getaway because I've been feeling really done with life for a really long time now and I just want to go alone into the peaceful nature. (call it cliche but I've genuinely been thinking about this for over two years)
I don't have any details decided yet, I just know I want to go to one of the northeastern states. I know that's very generic but I developed my interest through yt videos mostly of Arunachal Pradesh and I was researching more I saw many people recommending other nearby places as well.
At first, I was convinced I wanted to go full solo, decide my own itinerary, travel, explore on my own but the more I think about it, the more I feel like that will be really overwhelming for a first solo trip. I would appreciate any help:
should I actually go full solo or should I go with some agency? the problem with the agency is I feel like it's a very restrictive schedule and since I want to go to just unwind and roam around on my own, I think I won't be satisfied with the trip at the end of it.
Which is the best place/places for me to go? the yt videos I saw are from this really amazing creator (Kanishk Gupta i think), and he explores remote, small villages on his own which is what put the idea of a solo trip into my head. I am fully aware that he's obviously much more experienced and older and me doing the same is impractical, but basically I don't want to go to overcrowded tourist areas.. something lowkey is better..
Is a budget of <15k possible? I'm just finishing my first year of college so I don't really earn and will have to ask my parents for money.. I'm hoping that since I'll be traveling solo and living in hostels, the major costs will only be travel
where should i stay and how should i travel? (I'll be leaving from Pune)
I want to decide between Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Bhutan.. or should I look for other places?
any other tips/advice would be greatly appreciated
