I have had 2 Nissan fundoplication surgeries. i was suffering with acid reflux and hiatal hernia for over 10 years going through doctors and I was being told that it was all in my head and all results were fine until I found a surgeon that actually try to investigate this problem and it turned out I had severe acid reflux and hiatal hernia. I got my first surgery done in 2022 which was a Toupet surgery and after 6-8 weeks all my symptoms came back 1000 times worse...I went back to see my surgeon which I got more test done 24hr ph monitor and it confirmed I had sever acid reflux and it was confirmed that Toupet was not enough for my case. we went ahead with a second surgery to do a full 360 wrap Nissan fundoplication in 2023 (7months later)

all my symptoms disappear I was able to eat everything again (still no caffeine) life was good until a year ago I had my baby and my pregnancy was great no acid reflux. once I had my baby everything came back…now its so bad I have a huge bulge in my stomach that I can see it on my tummy I feel like it will explode inside I have this horrible feeling like something is stuck in my throat the acid is so bad…I’m in the process of seeing another surgeon which he said that I will more than likely need another surgery as he thinks my stitches have became loose and possibly my hiatal hernia is back

has anyone had a 3rd Nissan fundoplication and what are the results? did it help? I fell like I had my normal life back until I gave birth and now I’m back where I started..
