Regarding the uncalled for Mixtape hate; has the Chud virus spread here too?
Mixtape is silly little 3 hour game with a lot of soul. It's heartwarming, well written, looks beautiful, has a killer soundtrack and it's engaging throughout.
If you don't like games that don't give you tons of interactivity, then fine it's not a game for you. However, to ridicule the game, to pass judgement when you haven't played it, to insult the people that like it and to say it's "NOT a video game" is way too far and frankly disgusting!
Mixtape is a game. Just like some of greatest games ever made. Just like Edith Finch, just like Stanley Parable, just like all the amazing Monkey Island games, just like the Grimm Fandango, just like Disco Elysium, just like Dispatch & the Walking Dead.
None of these game are action or even "gameplay" heavy. But they're all games, some of the greatest games and some of the greatest experiences and works of art of the past 50 years.
If you don't think they're 'games' well then you're not only disagreeing with most people, you're disagreeing with history too. And if that's your call, then fight your misguided crusade for as long as you want.
