Hey everyone,
The physical ON/OFF switch (SMD slide switch) on my Fnatic Lamzu Maya X broke off. I'm having a hard time finding the exact replacement locally here in Brazil, so I could use some advice on two things.
1. Identifying the switch: I attached a zoomed-in pic of the PCB where the switch used to sit. It’s a 2P2T SMD switch (6 contact pins + 2 side mounting tabs). Does anyone know the exact model, pitch size, or a generic part number (something like the MSS-22 series) that fits this specific Lamzu board? It would save me a lot of trial and error ordering from AliExpress.
2. Bypassing it (Jumper): Since I can't get the part right away, I'm considering just bridging the pads to keep it permanently powered. Since it's a 2P2T layout, I plan to run two separate solder bridges: one connecting the middle and "ON" pads on the top row, and another doing the same on the bottom row. I never manually turn off my mice anyway, I just let the hardware auto-sleep do its job.
- Is there any actual electrical risk in doing this long-term?
- Am I asking for trouble regarding thermal stress on the PCB if I bridge it now and then try to desolder it later to install the proper switch? I really don't want to lift a pad by hitting it with the soldering iron too many times.
Appreciate any help identifying the switch or feedback on the jumper idea. Thanks!
