I've done several terrariums and just recently had a mold issue in one of my other ones and now I noticed this in a different terrarium and it looks different from my other moldy failure. My confidence will buckle if this one doesn't make it too.

What is it and will it do damage?

I've had terrible luck with getting springtails in my area too. I grab some at Petco, and they're almost always dead on arrival, or I get a couple then never see them again.
