Longtime Vision finally in a testable Phase would love some feedback.
For the last year and a half I’ve been building scoutr almost entirely alongside school, internships and basketball.
The original idea was simple:
make it easier for athletes to connect with scouts, teams, organizers, brands, and other players without needing existing connections or luck.
What started as a small concept slowly turned into a full platform:
- profiles & highlights
- events & tournaments
- messaging
- scouting/discovery systems
- reviews & vouches
- private event infrastructure
- and now standardized drills & tryout systems are in development
The main motivation for creating the app was that a lot of athletes are insanely talented but terrible at visibility. If you’re not already inside the right circles, people often never even see you. That problem exists in way more sports than people think.
this is true especially in my country (Austria) where sports that are not SKIING and football are not taken serious enough.
scoutr is my attempt at reducing that barrier a little and leveling the playfield (yes pun intended)
The app is finally reaching a stage where it feels stable enough to put in front of more real users instead of just friends and testers pretending not to notice broken buttons.
Still a massive amount left to improve.
Still fixing things daily.
Still learning constantly.
building this alone next to other things in life has been extremely hard and taxing but i have A LOT of hope for this vision of mine.
Would genuinely love feedback from people here, especially around:
- onboarding
- discoverability
- trust/safety
- scouting workflows
- community features
- monetization without ruining the platform
App is currently in testing phase on iOS & Android.
Right now I am at 10ish semi-active users who all happen to be my friends. I would love for some of you to test and give me some feedback.
