Been on the same bike for the last 18 years. I love the thing to death but I also feel like I am missing out on trying other motorcycles.
My current bike has been a 07 Triumph Speed Triple. That I bought in early 2008 as a left over.
I have looked and looked and have managed to narrow my selection to three possible newer platforms. A Ducati Hypermotard 939SP/950SP, a Aprilia Tuono V4 1100RR or the New Triumph Speed Triple 1200.
The only bike I havent ridden is the Aprilia. The new Speed Triple my be my favorite atm but it's the most expensive by far and it kinda feels like it would just be another Speed Triple. Which the whole point of wanting another bike would be to experience something different.
And the reason I am asking on here now is because my dealer got a 2020 Hypermotard 950Sp on trade-in. They are asking $13k so I feel like I kinda need to make up my mind on this.
So what you all think? Is this something I should jump on?
Or should I keep looking? The only other bikes I would consider would be older bikes like a Aprilia Tuono 1000R Factory, MV Agusta Brutale 1078 and the EBR 1190SX. Which were my old dream bikes. That I never got to experience.
I'm really not sure why it's been so hard for me to let go of my old Speed Triple. I think after 2010 allot of the bikes were going to that Ride by wire system and they never felt right to me until recently. Only now have they managed to get those things to actually feel like proper cabled throttle.
Just looking to chat about this tbh. Let me know what you think.
