Hi people, I have been programming as a hobby (and since 2024 as a job) since the age of 13 (20 now), but I've always had the same problem. I quite literally never had a hobby project or anything that I worked on for more than a day or two.

I just don't know what to do, without it feeling like a massive waste of time, because the reality is that most "hobby projects" aren't going to be very useful.

I'm sure it's mostly a mental block, but I surely can't be the only one to have experienced this right?

Hello everyone,

I want to start off with a bit of context. My 18 year old sister has been struggling with pudendal neuralgia for many many months now since symptoms suddenly started appearing. After a long battle with doctors who have never even heard of this condition, she finally got a diagnosis.

The problem is, that it has gotten to a point, where she can not take part in life anymore. She can't sit, walk or do any major exercise without triggering severe pain that has her sitting in a fetal position on the floor for hours.

Even worse, only alcohol seems to help her and she has developed a habit of drinking multiple beers a day to weaken the pain (Legal, since we live in Germany).

Her school is ruining her future by turning her into an inside joke, rather than helping and they will not let her graduate and finding a job suitable for her is quite impossible in this state.

She has been getting surgery every few months now, where they inject the area with something to hopefully stop the pain until the next surgery. However, this hasn't been very successful.

I am extremely worried about my sister and I don't know what other options there are for her at this point, especially when most doctors here in Germany have never even heard of the condition.
