Really concerning
We are facing a serious issue with our MCC account. Last Saturday, we received an email notification that an unknown user had been added as an admin to our MCC account, and shortly after, our access was reduced to billing-only permissions.
While investigating, we discovered that unauthorized campaigns had been created across multiple client accounts linked to our MCC, resulting in approximately $14,000 in ad spend within 7–8 hours.
We immediately reported all affected accounts as compromised. Google has since removed the unauthorized campaigns and restricted our access to read-only, which means we are currently unable to manage our clients’ accounts. This situation has severely impacted our business and client trust.
Our main concern now is restoring secure access to the MCC account so we can resume managing client campaigns. The support process has been extremely slow despite the urgency and financial impact of this incident.
When we follow up they just say that the broader team is aware of the issue and they are looking into it and they will come back within 5-7 business days.
Helpless, no idea what to do now.
