I heard once that the odds of meeting someone are 1 in 10 million. And if you believe nothing is coincidence, there’s something almost cruel about meeting a person who changes your entire life... just for them to leave it, and you never cross paths again. Ever notice how you can keep going to the same coffee shop, the same bar, drive the same roads, and still never see the one person your subconscious keeps searching for? It’s beautiful madness, honestly. Maybe I go to the places we used to go for comfort. Maybe part of me hopes I’ll run into you. Maybe part of me hopes I’ll meet someone new just to fill the space where you used to exist. Either way, I think it’s all pieced together the way it’s meant to be. The details are in the timing. The day you met that person... what if you had left the house 15 minutes later? What if you canceled the date? What if you got into a fender bender on the way there? Nothing is coincidence. We’re all just people shouting into the void, knowing we’re only numbers in this massive world, and the chances of reconnecting with that one soul again are slim to none. So let the memories settle where they belong. Think of them and smile. Laugh at the jokes that still live rent-free in your head. Embrace the rollercoaster of loving someone deeply, and be grateful for everything it taught you. Today I’m not sad. Just grateful. And somehow, it all makes sense.
