Ive had this plant for 6 months+ never changed the watering schedule, watered once a week. the soil completely drys up by the next watering. When watering and checking the plant i noticed the base of the plant is starting to turn black but it is hard and not soft. I dont think it was there the last week, the black part was facing away from the sun. It receives about 20k lux most of the day and sometimes 100k+lux a few hours not everyday.

Someone please help i would like to save it
