Started new job making 150k annually plus bonus (not always consistent) made $5k last month, and will make $5k this month. Bringing home $8.6k - $11k after taxes.

I owe $17,500 in student loans, I started making aggressive payments of $2500 monthly and hope to finish paying them by December 2026.

I have 60k in a HYSA

Just started my Roth IRA and maxed the contribution for 25/26 earlier this year, $14500.

I’m behind on 401k with about $25k, and I’m really embarrassed.

No other debt, I payed off my car.

Monthly expenses, needs/ wants $3500 and including student loan payments of $2500. Total $6000.

I live in Southern California with Roomate’s to help keep cost of living down. We live comfortably in a huge house perfect for my partner, I, and two Roomate’s (all young professionals) but eventually want to buy a house.

Any advice on what to do next? Grew up with nothing, and I’ve never had guidance on managing money. Any help would be appreciated
