I'm a F42 diagnosed with ventricular arrhythmia a few months back. I've been having PVCs and V-tach. First ablation attempt was unsuccessful (no entry as I wasn't showing any arrhythmias). Same thing happened during the second attempt, but this time there was catheter entry to try to induce the arrhythmia.
They did not find the arrhythmia they were looking for, but suddenly I was asked by two assistants to cough really hard, and as I did I had this weird, warm sensation in my chest. Afterwards I was told I had had V-fib, but the coughing had reset it. They could not find the arrhythmia they were looking for, but had found a new one (which can't be ablated). Apparently this is pretty rare, and from what I gathered they have no idea where this came from.
Right now I'm still in the hospital (V-fib was on Friday) for observation, and waiting for the specialist doctors to come back in (Tuesday) and discuss what needs to be done. ICD was briefly mentioned. The waiting and not knowing what is going on is maddening, so I decided to post here. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with V-fib during EPS, and what your thoughts are?
