First TEF Canada attempt

First TEF Canada attempt

Hey everyone,

Got my TEF Canada results from my first attempt last week. Honestly, this exam humbled me 😅 but I also learned so much about my weak points and how different the real exam feels under pressure.

I’m especially looking for advice to improve:

  • Speaking fluency/spontaneity
  • Sounding less robotic in Expression Orale
  • Reading speed + trap answers

During the speaking test, I felt like I knew ideas in my head, but forming natural sentences quickly was hard. Stress definitely affected me too.

For those who improved from NCLC 5/6 to 7+, what helped the most?
Any routines, resources, or practice methods?

Even though the result is not what I wanted, I’m still happy I took the exam because now I understand what I really need to work on. Back to studying 💪
