How can I stop having constant highs and lows?

I’m starting to notice a pattern recently where something gives me an insane high and I can’t move away from it even if I know it’s bad for me. And then reality hits and I get such a low and it’s hard to get out of it. And instead of processing what happened I just go chasing another high. Probably the same way I had the previous one. And even though it ends up being a little bit different, the end result is the same. I crash down and I feel lost. I feel like I’ve been in this loop for so long but only just realised. And it applies to a lot in my life. And idk what it is or how to get out of it. Yes therapy but is there anything more of a quick fix until then?
