A Long-Time Micronationalist's Opinion on This Subreddit.

I, as the King of Wenford, am making this post to critique the current direction of r/micronations with the proper discretion of the Media Team (which is normally in charge of this account) and the civilians of my nation.

I doubt many of you new micronationalists are aware of who I am, especially considering that I do not have posts made on this subreddit that often, so I will give a basic rundown of my nation and my history as a micronationalist. I am the monarch of the Reformed Kingdom of Wenford, which was founded technically in 2023, but officially in 2024. I have made a few other micronations before it, and have been a Micronationalist since 2019 (I have made a few mistakes during my time as a micronationalist, but as I have matured, I have continued to grow mentally). Shortly after I created Wenford, I joined the r/micronations subreddit in hopes of connecting with the community there and engaging in discussions with fellow micronationalists; it was an absolute shit show.

Although it was a shit show, the mods at that time actually cared for the subreddit and tried their best to moderate it; it appears now that the current moderators have all but given up on this warzone of a subreddit.

Whatever your opinion may be on the Ezanian Republic, or the Empire of Ilonland, you must admit that both of the states have committed wrongdoings, have not been apt to stop their roleplay, and have thrown this bygone subreddit into utter anarchy; I dislike both of the aforementioned nations quite equally.

Basically, to get to the point of my short ramble, I think that the moderators of this subreddit should either:

A. Find new moderators that are actually active and willing to help with the moderation of the subreddit.

B. Do their jobs as moderators (such as deleting posts, issuing temporary bans, warnings, etc)

C. Delete the subreddit.

The last option is definitely extreme, but at this point, considering how this subreddit has been in a depression for a very, VERY long time, I do not see what other options there may be.

I am not saying that they have to do any of these things, but if they have even the smallest amount of care left for this subreddit, I think that they should try to initiate meaningful change to create a new era of r/micronations.

King Nolan I, signing off.
