I just brought home a new (to me) 2019 Cooper S 4-door last month. She's already got a name, too: Rebecca! I got to drive her for a week before I had my first checkup appointment (yes, I know, a little out of order to buy the car then have the mechanic check it out, but she was shipped from out of state, couldn't be helped). She mostly checked out, except for the coolant leak. Normally, I don't shop around to find garages to beat the dealer quotes, but having my new monthly car payments coming up, and having dropped a significant amount on the down payment, I decided to do a little looking. The dealer wanted $1300 to replace the busted upper coolant pipe. The independent shop did it for $580. I am so glad that I found the leak early and that no other damage was found (except for the license plate bracket, ugh, lmao). I am looking forward to taking care of this beauty for a good long while (hoping to get her odometer over 150,000 miles).

Pic included, Rebecca is the red one. Also pictured, some of my co-workers lovely Minis! Does it count as a double rule 1 if we all work together?

I found this absolute beauty earlier this month. When she was delivered, her odometer read 40,603. When I dropped her off for a checkup, they found a crazy coolant leak. I had put about 400 miles on her (odometer read just over 41,000 when dropped off). Does anyone know and/or have experience if build-up like this can happen in under a week, driving only 400 miles? I'm having trouble getting it covered under warranty...
