How difficult would it be to fix this chipped spindle?

Hello. I recently bought this rocking chair from an estate sale in near immaculate condition. Unfortunately my little brother rocked in it too hard and cracked this spindle. I know nothing about woodworking so Is it possible to wood glue or is it more than that? Thank you
