Seat Assignment - options to change
we booked DEN-IST-KTM roundtrip for our family of three (with a 10y old) but skipped the seat selection. find out that TK already assigned us seats. They are all together BUT its the last middle row seats (43 D,E, & G) for all four flights, arguably the worst seats! what are my options to get out of those seats besides paying for seat selection, which is close to $600 total (bit steep for me right now).
I am fine with any other seats that are not dead last or in front of the restroom. flight leaves in 2 weeks and seat maps looks half empty, although realize that not all tickets have assigned seats yet.
Is going to the airport super early my best bet? would calling them beforehand help? appreciate all your expert opinions and advice, and thanks in advance!
