I work in cross-border influencer marketing and our team is fully distributed across most of these regions. Genuinely curious how others handle multi-region remote work in this space:
When 80% of the creators or brand contacts you talk to are 6-12 hours offset, how do you structure your day? Hard cutoffs, follow-the-sun shifts, or just permanent low-grade async chaos?
For people doing creator / talent outreach specifically — what tooling has actually changed your workflow in the past year? We've cycled through Notion, Airtable, ClickUp and ended up patching Slack + a lightweight CRM. Curious what others landed on.
For folks based in Japan or Korea — how are you balancing the cultural expectation of formal, slow first contact with creators against the speed brands want? This is the single hardest thing for our remote teammates to calibrate, regardless of seniority.
Has anyone successfully built a true "follow-the-sun" handoff (US → EU → Asia → US again) for outreach work? Or in your experience does fully async still win once the team is past 5-6 people?
Outreach is a weird remote role — way more relationship-driven than typical remote work, but impossible without strong async tooling. Would love to hear what's actually working for people across regions.
