Small business owner here notice any price changes for Christmas lights?
As a local business owner, I sell Christmas lights for peak season. Essentially, I make most sales income selling reliable sets from reputable brands, and one way I check reliability is to look for thick wiring and “sealed” bulb sockets so they will hold up outdoors. LED over incandescent saves my customers on their electric bills.
With current events and the Mideast crisis going on these days, crude oil prices are going up. In turn, prices of plastic and shipping supplies are skyrocketing. I’ve noticed price increases in wholesale reports I receive as well, about a 15% percent increase compared to last year. Even when I from alibaba (great for bulk) it’s not that cheap! This season I’m worried our lights are going to be more expensive to our customers too. Have you noticed the same this year? How do you save money on Christmas lights?
