For a little context, I started reading poetry recently and I realized I actually love it (school had me thinking otherwise). I’ve been writing for about a week or so.

Poem #1:
It’s incredibly painful,
to have the mind and feelings of a poet,
and not be able to create art with your own words.

Poem #2:
The rope is wrapped around my throat.
It tightens with every breath I take.
The air fills my lungs,
faster than I can control.
I never expected to see you at the reins.

As you can probably tell, I’m not the best. I believe I struggle the most with flow. However, I’m not really looking for constructive feedback since this is just something I do in my free time, I just wanted to share.
