2008 Mini Cooper Hatchback

On my last MOT, it declared I had a coolant leak (End of Jan) - found some liquid under the bonnet as well. The other day the coolant dropped to nothing and white smoke/steam came bursting out of my bonnet and back, with a red temperature light and red oil pressure light. Pulled over and the car wouldn’t start again, let it cool and then moved it to a safe place.I’m just about to put some Radwell into the coolant tank, will this fix it? or is there a more serious problem occurring - I was reading into gasket problems etc. Just seems like I kept digging and it got more confusing! any help would be amazing.
