Mbti does, in fact, NOT help you understand people better. People are not their mbti type. They are their own person.

The absolute sheer amount of times I see people get *TOO* obsessed with mbti, overglorifying it as the holy grail of breaking the matrix like they suddenly had a galaxy brain epiphany, is mind boggling. Holy shit.

I'm sorry, but you will, in fact, *NOT* understand a person better simply due to mbti. Hate to break it to you people, but you still need to touch grass and get to know people. I know, crazy.

You can have a room with 600 Esfjs, and yet most of them will still be different. Different likes, temperament, social temperament (trying to tell an mbti enthusiast that cognitively extroverted ≠ socially extroverted is like talking to a wall. Utterly useless. They will NOT see reason.), different hobbies, different ideologies, and so much more that differentiates them.

Yet, too many mbti fanatics who think they "broke the mold" think they suddenly telepathically understand everyone once they know someone's mbti, as if it is a person's only trait, and nothing else.

You may have an mbti, but you are not your mbti. This logic can be applied to most things if we take out the mbti part. People have their own personalities, even if they share the same mbti. I know, crazy.

I'm sorry, but by applying mbti logic onto every person you meet, you simply act highly judgemental, superficially assessing people without actually getting to know them. Not to mention the absurd amount of vibe typing that is so glaringly common within mbti/cognitive stacks fanatics and overglorification of certain stacks.

That being said, go meet people. Talk to them. Get to ACTUALLY know them. Mbti won't tell you shit, even if a lot of people try to gaslight you into thinking that it is.

It will NOT suffice as a tool to judge people.

(Sorry for this long rant. I mean, not that people on Reddit read, anyway. But still! Not sure if I worded it correctly here; English ain't my first language and it's late at night, lol.)
