Questions about submitting a letter of continued interest

I am a current freshman (finishing up final exams tomorrow) at a liberal arts college in the northeast, and I applied to transfer to seven schools for next year, Vandy being one of them. I’ve gotten one rejection, five acceptances, and I was just waitlisted at Vanderbilt, which is far and away my top choice.

I know that submitting a letter of continued interest is important to have a chance at getting off the waitlist, and I am hoping there might be some Vandy students or alumni in this sub who were accepted off the waitlist, and can tell me what they included in their letter of continued interest. I am also wondering whether having an additional letter of recommendation submitted on my behalf might be helpful. Any other tips for improving my chances of getting off the waitlist would be greatly appreciated. I really hope to be on campus as a member of the Class of 2029 next fall.

Thanks!

Hi. I was admitted yesterday as a sophomore transfer to Emory for this fall, and my parents and I are trying to figure out what my total cost of attendance will be if I don’t manage to get on-campus housing, and I have to find something off campus. Can anyone give me some general guidelines for how much I should budget for housing (including deposits and utilities) if I am unable to get a spot on campus?

Thanks so much!

My Vandy withdrawal button has disappeared this afternoon. I sure hope this means that I’m going to hear something one way or another later today or maybe in the morning.

In the past, the withdrawal button disappearing has just meant that a decision is coming, right? It doesn’t offer any indication of what the decision will be?

My insurance has ended coverage for my brand Ozempic, so I am attempting to decide on the best source to order a compounded version. So many of these sites that sell compounded GLP1s have sketchy ratings on Trust Pilot, but Brello looks pretty good, with over 1k ratings and an overall rating of 4.1.

Has anyone in this sub used Brello before? If so, how has your experience been in terms of how quickly your orders have arrived, whether they were shipped properly, and the quality of their compounded semaglutide?

Thanks!

I am curious whether Vanderbilt released any rejections in their first two waves. Going only by this sub, only acceptances went out in waves 1 and 2. Does anyone know for sure of anyone who was actually rejected in the first two waves?
