Fine line surreal inspired by Italian daily rituals and the contrast between the ordinary and the symbolic 😊

Hi everyone 😊
I’m a tattoo artist currently based in Rome, and I’m starting to plan my summer.
From my experience, summer in Rome can be quite slow unless you’re working in a very central studio — most people leave the city or spend more on holidays than tattoos. So I’m considering doing guest spots around Europe during those months.
A bit about me:
- I’m originally from Spain
- Currently living and working in Italy (Rome)
- I’m considering places like Costa Brava (to be closer to home), but also open to Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, etc.
What I’m specifically looking for are studios with a good and consistent client flow, where guest artists can realistically work and not just “fill gaps”. For me it only makes sense if there’s actual demand and visibility.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience doing guest spots in Europe during summer:
- Is it a good idea / worth it?
- How far in advance should I be arranging this? Am I already late?
- Any cities or areas that work particularly well in summer?
- Recommendations for studios that actually have walk-ins or strong booking flow?
- Or contacts, if you’re open to sharing
I’m trying to approach this strategically, not just cold messaging studios without knowing how things really work.

Thanks a lot — any advice or insight is really appreciated 🙏
I know this isn’t a traditional surrealist piece on canvas, but I’ve been experimenting with bringing surrealism into my tattoos lately 😁
Playing with symbolism, fragmentation and perception.

Hi everyone 🌟,
I’m Laura, a spanish tattoo artist currently based in Rome, and recently—partly out of curiosity, partly out of necessity—I started experimenting with Carrd to build my own website (and even one for a colleague).
At the moment, I’m working on the site in Italian, but I’m planning to release an English version soon as well.
While working on it, I realized I actually really enjoy the whole process. I’ve been focusing quite a lot on structure and SEO—building a clear hierarchy, writing keyword-based descriptions for images, and integrating things like a custom domain, Meta Pixel, and some JSON code.
Initially, this was just meant to be a personal tool to improve my visibility and hopefully bring in more clients. But the more I worked on it, the more I started wondering if this could turn into a small side activity—maybe building simple landing pages for others using Carrd.
So I wanted to ask for honest opinions from people with more experience:
-Do you think this is something that could realistically work as a small part-time service? -What would you suggest I focus on improving? And if anyone here has experience doing something similar, I’d really appreciate your advice.
For context, here are the two websites (still only in italian):

Thanks a lot in advance 🙂
