Salt Tank Coral Help

Good morning my wonderful humans (or whatever else may be reading this)!

I need assistance finding a proper subreddit for my coral issue. It seems like r/coral and r/saltwater don't have a lot of activity going on. Does anyone know of more active reddits that could help me with this?

I posted to r/Reeftank already and am still waiting for hits on that post.

I truly do appreciate any assistance!

Help - Zoanthid coral is developing a white center

Hello! I recently got my first few corals (toadstool and green star polyp) and they are doing amazing and have been in the tank for about a month now. On one of my last trips to the LFS about 1.5-2 weeks ago I got an orange zoanthid. It looked like it was doing good but in the last 2-3 days I have noticed the center of them turning white and not all of the polyps are coming out. Any help or advice is appreciated!

I've been posting here recently as I near the end of my campaign. Mostly to shore up my weaknesses and make sure the ending is satisfying for my players. So I want to thank you all for your previous assistance and further assistance! You're all wonderful!

I'll try to keep this brief. 3,000 years ago, a group of mortals killed a God then splintered his power and ascended into demi-godhood. They killed the God because he basically forced the people of the land to be meek Gatherers by making the land lush and bountiful. There were wars brewing to the south with invading armies coming from the seas. So they killed the God so their people wouldn't be immediately enslaved.

Post-ascension, they crafted a very utilitarian government with their own slaves. But, wait, didn't they fight against that? Yes! What they did is they took their meek Gathering people across some mountains then put a large localized curse on the mountains to make them unpassable to mortals. Hence forth, the gatherers had only ever known The Gods to cross the mountains to come visit their people once a year.

(The whole fact that the demi-Gods had basically done the same thing as their old God then went and enslaved other people is supposed to be a whole plot twist signifying that they are no better than their Old God.)

However, due to artifacts and blahblahblah my party was able to cross the mountains. WHAT! NO WAY! I know, I know. So now, for the first time in 3,000 years mortals have crossed the mountains and will be entering an area that no outsider has been to in that time. Currently, I plan on having two groups of people. The first believe the party are Gods. The other believe they are dissenters and not Gods.

My plan is that once they enter these new Lands with the Gatherers, they'll be escorted to the primary village where a Feast will be held! The feast is specifically for Gods so it's being thrown by the group who believe my party to be Gods. At the feast will also be the non-believers who want to prove they are not Gods and thus should be shunned or even killed.

Wow, OP, that's so much context, I'm bored. I'm done with context though! Hang in there!

I'm thinking of having the feast in different "stages". I want this as a social interaction and I'm very poor in making them. I want each stage to ramp up the tension between the believers and non-believers. Each stage giving my players an opportunity to prove their godhood or denounce themselves. I'm thinking the stages be something like

  1. Dancing to entertain the Gods

  2. The Feast

  3. Poetry and storytelling

  4. Gift Giving

  5. Jesters

I don't know, just kind of thinking of different things a massive royal feast would include. I want the tension to ramp up between the two factions. Ideally, it would lead to a confrontation to the players to "prove" their godhood somehow. Ideas? Thoughts? Opinions? I'm a bad DM? I'm the best DM? Let me know!
