*edit after reading the automoderator reply*: I have not done any previous modifications to my deck. Me wanting to upgrade the ssd is my first time attempting a modification to the steamdeck.

TLDR: I want to replace my ssd, I can't boot into steamOS and the battery is almost full.

Like many before me I have fallen into the trap of the 64gb model. It has come to a point where it literally showed me that there was 0 bytes available disk space left. I had just moved some stuff from the internal memory to my sd card so when I saw 0b I found it strange and tried to reboot the system. Now the system just straight up doesn't want to boot anymore because it needs at least 250mb disk space to launch into steamOS, when I power it on it just gets stuck in a loop of constantly trying to boot and failing to.

I'm planning on cloning the ssd with clonezilla and installing a new ssd now, but every guide tells me to drain the battery to under 25% first. I'm pretty sure my battery should be around the 100% because it was plugged in before it stopped working. When looking for ways to drain the battery I only get "just play some demanding games like marvel rivals or elden ring" which I clearly can't do because of the whole not booting thing.

Best idea I could come up with myself is plug the steamdeck in to another device like my phone so that the steamdeck will drain and charge the phone, but I'm guessing that's still gonna be pretty slow. There's also the added problem of me just having no clue what % the battery is at because I can't see it. I can boot into the safe start menu thingy just fine (I'm not exactly sure what it's called but it's the thing that pops up when you hold the volume up button before powering on), but I can't find the battery percentage in there, can it be viewed anywhere like that?

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated!
