We are looking to get into our first TT camper, but are stuck deciding which way to go. We currently have an older pop up which we bought last year to see if we wanted to go the rv route- we love it but my husband could really use a bathroom nearby overnight. Looking at a bunkhouse because kids.

We would be towing with my older Honda Ridgeline this year, planning to upgrade the truck next year. We don’t plan to go more than a couple hours away this year. Heck there’s probably 10 campgrounds just in our town and I’d be happy just visiting them this summer just to get into the groove of the camper.

The ones I am looking at are:

-2020 Forest River RV Flagstaff E-Pro E16BH listed at a Campers Inn for $18k

-2023 Dutchmen RV Coleman 17B listed at the same Campers Inn for $11k

-2026 Coleman 17B from a local Camping World (they advertise just over $13k

-2026 Forest River RV Westbrook 16CC Campers Inn for $14k

I have done all the research about Coleman, yes they are an entry level brand that has lower quality/heavier features. But the entry level price is appealing. The EPro is appealing because it is set up for solar and isn’t too much more of a stretch financially. $18k and 20ish feet total is probably the top end of the budget for us, we tend to visit places where we can go hiking or biking and will probably never leave New England with it. We also won’t be traveling in winter conditions, so I’m not super concerned about heater efficiency. I don’t want to deal with CW but they are close and will try to play hard ball with them for the 2026 if needed. I am fully aware of the depreciation but I’m not finding a lot of used ones that are only a couple of years old. The ones on Facebook Marketplace are selling for almost the list price of new.

Anything I should look out for that I haven’t thought of yet?
