Need confirmation UPD 2

Hello everyone, this is the third part of my journey to torture the Opinel. What diameter and length of rod (of what material) is needed to replace the axle? I want to order it for future use. Does it make sense to sand off the varnish before welding it in tung oil, or can I do it with it? I'm leaning toward deleting it.

I knocked out the axis with an object that was slightly larger than the hole itself, I don’t think it’s critical, but still, what could be the threat? I didn’t knock it all the way through, but only reached the blade, visually everything is fine.

Thanks to all the commenters, I'm very grateful. I'm not replying because I don't speak English and am using a translator.

need confirmation UPD:

Tomorrow I'm going to the garage to get the blade's axis beveled. I want to polish it to a mirror finish. How should I do that? Does it make sense to make straight bevels from the spine, as I don't understand how to sharpen on a lens without a microbevel? Is it worth it to do a microbevel, considering whether the difference in cutting is even noticeable? This is a follow-up to my previous post, where I intentionally rusted a blade to show a friend. It took less than two hours, on a knife straight from the store. An eraser helped quite a bit, but you can't remove it without disassembling everything.

Need confirmation.

Could the blade on my carbon Opinel 8 have rusted? I washed it after buying it, immediately cut 3 oranges, washed it with cleaning agent, wiped the blade dry, and put it in my pocket. Could it have rusted in these two hours? There are rust and brown microcraters all over the blade, I don’t think it’s patina.

I know why this happened, it was done to demonstrate that it is necessary to keep a close eye on the carbon steel, but the person doesn't believe me and says that the knife is Chinese))), in any case, before patination you need to sand it and I haven't lost anything in essence, this is my training knife, I want to work with it, practice sharpening and processing the handle, disassemble it, before climbing into my stainless steel eight with an olive handle.
