As a specialist, a second grader just said “ no one in our class likes your class. I’m serious@

After I did a bit of an awkward smile and blink I said “… that wasn’t nice to say.” they apologized and looked embarrassed.

It’s the same class that uses the whole time to just socialize and acts like my instruction is interrupting them. No, not every class acts like that but life for me personally is really not going super well. I still do my job to the best of my ability and a lot of kids do show appreciation but when they say crap like this…. What my head was really thinking was “ I’m so sorry to disappoint.”

Such dread that sometimes I stay up way too late

It’s what happened last night. I actually discovered a webpage that got my attention (https://www.abouttheartists.com/ if you’re curious haha) and I know part of it is that I couldn’t stop looking up various names, but part of it was stalling today.

Anyone else find themselves doing stuff like this?

I’m tired of “ what did I do?” I’m tired of there always being a reason why they didn’t do something or why they can’t follow the direction given. I’m tired of people telling us to validate every excuse they make.

That’s all I have for now.

Why are people saying don’t ever check off that you will take any role? Most people are interested in being leads, but if I would rather be part of the show, then not at all, I don’t think checking any role means that I should be out of the running. I always indicate that if I were a lead, which one I would like to be.
