Chord Hugo 2
What are your thoughts on the Hugo 2 , Mojo 2 , and TT2 for desktop use? Are they powerful enough and sound good enough to be an end game Desktop set up?

I'm very interested in trying out the XSpace feature. If it has that new Kenwood stuff also that would be a bonus. That being said I have no experience with IFI and I don't really need a thousand dollar NEO IDSD3 as most of my headphones are easy to drive. However, if it's much better there maybe it's worth it? Is there a sweet spot item to try it out?
I am looking to make my first serious dynamic headphone purchase. Seems almost like the 6 series is a requirement for this. I also like that they are 300 ohm and would make using a tube amp(eventually) work well.
I guess I am trying to decide which one to get. My primary concern is comfort for long listening. I prefer a slightly warm sound but will have PEQ available, so I guess it's not a requirement. Anyone that has tried the 600 or 650 vs the 660S2 that can provide input?
Is there something else I should be looking at as well?
I'm also considering the Meze 105 Aer, but they are only 32 ohm. Might get those eventually anyway as they are supposed to be comfy and look great.
I would prefer to keep the budget under about 400 dollars USD. This will be used for home listening only. Don't care about portability.
I currently have a Sennheiser HD 598 and just got a pair of Hifiman Ananada Stealth for my birthday. My first planar's. I really like them.
Appreciate any thoughts or opinions. I have JDS Labs headphone amps and a Schiit stack as well.
Don't care if they are open or closed back.
Hi,
I want to upgrade my Modi 3+ and Magni 3+. They sound kind of muddy on my Sennheiser HD 598 headphones and a little digital at times . I want to use this in my bedroom and I am wondering if I should just get a new Magni Unity or a Vali 3 and Modi 5, or if the Midgard and Mimir is worth the cost for sound quality. I don't really think I'll need the extra power. I just want something relaxing for bedroom listening that sounds better than my current gear. I have a balanced headphone cable for my 598 also if it matters.
Since it's for the bedroom I'd prefer not to spend anymore than all of this. I also have a Fiio K9 pro I can keep or return. It's kind of large though and 450 bucks.
