Question for those in Phoenix area (Tempe specifically) with cats/dogs

Especially those who that order products online: Has anybody seen pests which have never been in the area before? I I recently purchased a new product from a large retailer, and coincidentally, several days later had pests never seen (or knew existed) locally before, and potential evidence that retailer's product is the source. I have been at the same address in Tempe for almost 15 years, and in Phoenix metro almost 30, and never had come across this before. I know this is (intentionally) light on specifics, and probably related to the feral cat population, but want to be sure before pointing blame.
