I'm currently living in Melbourne and hold a Cert III in electrical fitting and a Cert IV. I have gone through heaps of steps to finally get a Supervised Workers Licence- L and even sat and passed my SWP. ESV require me to complete 12 years of electrical installation work before I can get my A grade licence.
The issue I have is that I'm in a position where I'm un-hireable!!. I Don't have any experience as an electrician and my award makes it to difficult for me to compete with a first and second year apprentice. Does anyone have any advice, has been in a similar situation as me or know anyone I can contact that might be able to help?
should I just go through the apprenticeship route and RPL?
