Hi everyone,

I’m a non-EU student who will be studying in Estonia and Netherlands, and I’m trying to figure out the best banking setup for receiving my monthly scholarship stipend.

I’ve been considering opening a Wise account before leaving since they provide a European IBAN. Has anyone here successfully received their Erasmus stipend through Wise without problems?

Or is it still better to open a local bank account after arriving in Europe? I’ve been looking into LHV, SEB, and Swedbank for Estonia so far.

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thanks!
