So my 2 budgies normally get along pretty well but I came out to screaming and one of them had the other one by the tail and trying to pull him off.

I made a loud noise to try and startle them out ofnl it which worked for all of 5 seconds then it was on the attack again.

So I put it in the spare cage to separate them for a little bit.

2 questions.

1 how long should I do this for before everything blows over?

2 (this one is from my partner) is there any harm done to the bird? seeing as they came from the same nest and never been separated.
