Hey everyone,
I’ve had an issue with my nose for as long as I can remember. One nostril is always kind of blocked, and I can’t really breathe well through it, while the other one does most of the work.
Right now it’s worse because I just got sick (fever, throat pain, mucus, etc.), and that side feels completely blocked. I also feel like I have mucus stuck between my nose and throat, and a weird “lump in the throat” feeling when I swallow.
I started using a saline nasal spray, and it helped a bit on one side, but the blocked side still feels almost closed.
My questions:
Does this sound like a deviated septum?
Is it normal for it to feel much worse when you’re sick?
Has anyone had something similar and fixed it without surgery?
I’m planning to see an ENT later, but I just want to hear some experiences first.
Thanks 🙏
