Cancer free playlist
Today was the day, half a year ago I got the news that I 33m had esophagus cancer. I had a month of heartburn which didn't feel right and went to the doc, that later referred me for a gastroscopy. Around half a year later, half of my esophagus and my stomach being halved in size I'm almost done.
Today I got my scan results back, I have a minor blood clot in my chest around the port they operated into me, which normally wouldn't be the best of news, but the sweet doc paired it with the news that I'm officially cancer free! Still got one round of chemo left tomorrow and half a year of blood thinner meds, but that's really nothing compared to those news.
Obviously had to share it with my best friend and he sent me a link to survivor by Destiny's child which cracked me up and it occurred to me that i had listened to a song all of today because it was also hilarious and although it has nothing to do with cancer it's also about surviving. The song is called One hour ahead of the posse by Burl Ives, and it got me thinking about a Celebration/survival playlist and who better to ask to help me fill it out than you guys.
I know a lot of you are still fighting and not everyone are as lucky on the Battlefield as me. To all of you, Sick or cured i feel you and i hope the very best for you and your closest, you have my deepest sympathy, respect and love ♥️💪
