I’ve read that Infinite Wealth is best experienced after Gaiden. I also read that Gaiden isn’t as impactful or worthwhile if you haven’t played all 20 other games or whatever. I am a patient man, but I also have a full time job and commitments outside of video games. But I do plan on eventually playing through Kiryu’s story, so I guess my question is as follows:
Can I skip Gaiden after LAD and go straight into IW? Should I play Gaiden as a bridge even if I have no prior knowledge of the series? The whole Yakuza community seems to have a consensus to play every single game no skips, but that’s just a straight up insurmountable task for me at the moment.
What do you guys think is best route so I get the most out of Infinite Wealth while leaving the door open to experience the series from the beginning at a later date?
