First Jacket Done!✅

Made it through my first jacket pattern with all sorts of new skills under my belt: button holes, newspaper pattern, added stripe… and amending pattern from wool —> cotton for our hot climate! Just in time to gift to my mom for Mother’s Day 😃 I’m proud!

Pattern: Ava Jacket by My Favourite Things Knitwear

Hi friends. I’m knitting my first sweater/jacket that has a vertical double-knit button edge. Unfortunately, the edge looks awful and I don’t know why! I followed the pattern carefully and also was careful with my tension at the edge stitch both directions.

Instead of trying to re-do the whole thing, I’m looking for ideas on how to add a nice clean vertical edge to give a polished look. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

2-stitch applied I-cord?

Anything else?

Thanks a million.
