Logo Archives Now Submission

Not sure if you all have seen this trend across social media, but the Logo Archives page is encouraging designers to share their modern (post year 2000) logos in their classic style. I chose to show icons only but some people are including type.

Show me yours if you also made one!

Washington State Flag Redesign: Created in 2017

My redesigned flag for Washington state featuring:

  1. The light blue top field is for the skies of Eastern WA.
  2. The green bottom field is for the trees of Western WA.
  3. The thin green stripes on the middle right are for the orchards of Central WA.
  4. The 5 white peaks in the mountain range are for the 5 active volcanoes of the Washington Cascades: Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt. Baker, Mt. St. Helens and Glacier Peak. The triangles also form a subtle "W" and "A" in their overlap.
  5. The white compass rose in the canton is a nautical symbol for the Puget Sound, also known as the South Salish Sea.

I created this redesigned Washington State flag in 2017 after the official adoption of my city flag for Bellingham, WA. I printed copies of it for the 100th anniversary of the Washington flag back in 2022. I've have since mailed hundreds of copies to 90 different cities in Washington.
