Who could be the father?
Okay this is super embarrassing however I need some second opinions on this, I’ve been having issues figuring out who my baby’s father is, it’s been sitting heavily on my mind.
I’m currently 16 w pregnant, and I was 100% sure of who the father was, but now I’m experiencing some doubt.
So my LMP was on 1/17/26 - 1/20/26 on Jan 19 I took a plan B so my cycle was a bit off and I bled longer than usual and had spotting up until Jan 24.
So here’s where it gets a bit tricky, I had unprotected sex on Jan 24 ( Partner A ) and he didn’t finish inside me, and we only had sex 1 time. I remember I removed my tampon because I had spotting and pink/brown discharge and I assumed it was obviously due to the Plan B from before.
So on Jan 31-Feb 1 I had intercourse with the man I assume is the father ( Partner B ) however he didn’t finish inside me either, but we did have sex numerous times so the precum theory is more plausible here.
My first ultrasound was March 1 and baby was around 5w 2d - 5w5d, second ultrasound was March 11 baby was 7w1d - 7w4d. Third ultrasound was April 1 and baby was 9w4d, not sure if that one was too accurate due to Dr doing an abdominal scan vs transvaginal.
Anywho, I’m not sure when I ovulated because I swore my cycle was super regular but I double checked and my cycles would vary between 25-28 days.
Conception calculators and etc say conception occurred most likely on Jan 31.
I had a faint positive on Feb 16 and Feb 17 was still faint positive but more visible and March 2 line was strong.
However chat GPT ( I know don’t roast me ) said scientifically it makes the most sense that the intercourse on Jan 31 ( Partner B ) is most likely the father, which is the one I assumed as well. However that there’s a slight possibility Jan 24 ( Partner A )could still be father due to overlap in the fertile window?
Anyway Chat GPT stated that my early ultrasounds match up with Jan 31 conception along w my pregnancy tests pattern. But I understood conception and the day of intercourse is completely different… so there’s a chance Jan 24 intercourse could have lead to Jan 31 conception?
I’m struggling to wrap my head around it hence the ramble on Reddit lol
