so im preparing myself for an upcoming ITW audition and i would love to play cinderella. i’m reading the script and trying to get a good understanding of her as a character and i feel slightly confused as to why Cinderella keeps attending the ball.

there are so many instances of her talking about how she doesnt care much for the prince! also, in “second midnight” she literally says “wanting a ball is not wanting a prince”. so why does she keep going and why does she have a change of opinion on the prince in “on the steps of the palace”? i would love to hear other people’s opinions!
